Inspection of your septic or alternative septic system is ordinarily required when you sell your house, re-finance or change the use. The Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act requires an inspection and or septic tank cleaning at least every five years. If you are buying or planning on selling a home, it pays to have the system inspected early in the process to avoid delays in closing and unforeseen costs. If you are on a private well, a water sample and lab analysis is also required.

The professionals at SeptiClean are NSF certified Septic System Inspectors. Virginia law requires that anyone who claims to be a certified septic system inspector be NSF certified. The NSF inspection procedures are rigorous and based not only on a field inspection, but records research and interviews with current or previous residents. Other home inspectors and pest management companies offer a casual walkover inspection which are not certified or recognized by the Virginia Department of Health. Be sure the septic system for the house you are buying or selling has had an NSF certified inspection at least 15 days before your proposed settlement date.

SeptiCare inspections are competitively priced and we offer convenient payment options. All applications can be completed on line.
